Our Community Advisory Council is made up of business leaders and community members who understand the need for a more diversified and sustainable economy for Angels Camp and who support Destination Angels Camp’s efforts to help existing businesses expand and to attract new businesses.
Business recruitment is a marathon not a sprint, and is conducted in a highly competitive environment. Consequently, it requires continually focused and targeted campaigns in order to attract entrepreneurs and expanding regional and national businesses to Angels Camp.
Each Advisory Council member has pledged financial support for a minimum three-year period at a level reflecting the size of their business. The Advisory Council provides about one-third of Destination Angels Camp’s annual budget; and the City of Angels provides the remainder.
The Advisory Council meets twice a year – spring and fall — at a special luncheon which includes elected City and County officials and a featured speaker. In the interim, members serve as DAC’s eyes and ears in the community and are kept up to date on DAC’s retention and recruitment efforts.
